Alan has been a wonderful resource for us in repairing and maintaining our older Strathcona house. He completely rebuilt the front porch for us, which had been redesigned a couple of times over the life of the house. We had to figure out what the original porch had looked like based on very little evidence, and Alan’s familiarity with the design and construction techniques used in similar heritage houses was a huge help to us. This project required a lot of problem solving and design decisions as well as precise carpentry.
